After you've sent your donation, please send the following letter to as many of your friends as possible.

This letter is coming to you to ask for your help. As you may know I am a volunteer with the Huntington's Disease Society of America. Huntington's Disease is an inherited, progressively degenerative brain disorder that results in a loss of both mental and physical control. Symptoms usually appear between 30-50 yrs of age and progress over a 10 to 25 yr period ending in death. The promise of a treatment and an ultimate cure for Huntington's Disease ( HD) grows ever closer. Funding research and family studies are part of what we do. We also provide support to families affected by Huntington's Disease.

The Texas Affiliate of HDSA is growing. We have committees working on family services, education and fundraising. We have a social worker to help with family services. We are working to raise HD awareness, increase programs for family services and to raise money to be spent on research.

The reality is that all this costs money. To reach our goals we need everyone's continued concern and valuable financial support. Please help us stop HD from taking another generation. I am asking family and friends for their support in our fight. I am asking for a donation of $100.00 to the Texas Affiliate. Please give generously. Every dollar helps!
