Houston Area's "Team Hope - Walking for HD"

The 5th Annual Houston Area Run/Walk for Hope moved to a new site this year, the beautiful grounds of Oyster Creek Park and Trail in SugarLand.

The Honorable David and Mrs Kathy Wallace, Mayor and First Lady of Sugar Land, were honorary chairs of the September 9, 2006 race/walk and presented the awards. Kids' center was a child's wonderland with a clown(our longtime volunteer Cris Cuevas from the AT&T Telephone Pioneers), face painting, a snow cone machine, coloring sheets, stickers, and a bubble machine.

This was our most successful walk ever with over $40,000 raised for research, education and services and the monies raised will be matched by the High Q Foundation.
